It’s me, Sorcha! I’m a single mom, and the only person working behind the scenes and in front of the camera here at Cascadia Kitchen.
Please, be patient with me! I bake every layer, do every store run, pay every bill, and answer every inquiry personally. It can take me a couple days to dig back into emails when I’ve got a calendar full of cakes going out. The good news is, you can trust that your order will receive the same focused care and attention when it’s your turn on the bake table.
I cannot ship you a cake.
I am local to Hillsboro, OR. Most individual custom cake orders are available for local pick up only, zip code 97123. Depending on availability, I offer delivery and set up for weddings within a 2-3 hour radius of Portland, OR.
The Order Process:
After receiving your inquiry I will follow up via email to learn more about your event and dessert needs. I generally answer inquiries Mon-Wed, but it can take up to a week for a response depending on how busy the bakery is. I recommend giving as much lead time as possible when booking custom cake art.
Once we have discussed the details and determined the scope of the project via email, I will send you a proposal and quote. I require a 50% non-refundable retainer before putting any cakes on my calendar. The remaining balance is due in full before any work will be done on your project. Final payments are made one week ahead of pick up for celebration cakes, and a month ahead for wedding orders.
